Online Certificates

  • All 35 programs are available live (face-to-face & synchronously online)

  • About GIIMs online 4-course IT management certificates

    • GIIM uses the Litmos LMS (Learning Management System) by SAP for the delivery of its prerecorded online/Web/Cloud courses.

    • Each prerecorded asynchronous online/web course is taught by a team of 4-8 GIIM faculty members, providing a balanced perspective with the appropriate combination of academic rigor and practical relevance from leading professors from multiple universities and expert practitioners.

    • Each asynchronous online/web course is typically broken down into at least thirty (30) prerecorded 1-hour modules.  Hence, each self-paced course is 30+ hours; each 4-course certificate will require 120+ hours.

    • The course content, faculty, and certificate awarded are the same for programs delivered synchronously/live (e.g., face-to-face) or asynchronously (online).

    • We encourage supplementing the 30-hours of asynchronous online lectures presented by GIIM subject matter experts/faculty with one of GIIMs two blended/hybrid models facilitated by GIIM or local faculty; see bottom of this web page:
    • 10-hours (e.g., 5 class meetings of 2 hours each) of synchronous face-to-face (f2f) or online classes (discussions and projects)
    • self-paced asynchronous online sessions (discussions and projects)

    • Rigorous proof-of-learning assessment that is graded to receive certificate, certification, post graduate diploma, graduate school credit
    • asynchronous: multiple choice exam taken after each course
    • synchronous: based on practical real-world projects that applies the content of the course to candidates job or career aspiration

    • GIIM courses not currently available asynchronously (prerecorded online) can also be made available asynchronously online based on demand.

    • Online programs can be translated into any language

    • Students/Candidates are given 60 calendar days to complete each asynchronous online course.

We encourage supplementing the 30+ hours of asynchronous online lectures presented by GIIM subject matter experts/faculty with one of GIIMs two blended/hybrid models facilitated by GIIM or local faculty.

The following two blended/hybrid delivery models move past the traditional asynchronous prerecorded video and exam model, described above.  Learning in the real world is about applying knowledge to create and share solutions with others.  Candidates are assessed/graded based on practical real-world projects that applies the content of the course to candidates job or career aspiration.  Consider complementing the traditional asynchronous online model with:

    1.  the 10-hour synchronous blended/hybrid (face-to-face or synchronous online; live) model provides live class discussions and projects facilitated by local/GIIM faculty

    2.  this innovative self-paced asynchronous online blended/hybrid model provides online Q&A and projects facilitated by local/GIIM faculty

The local faculty (non-GIIM faculty) are used for the blended/hybrid delivery model when it is not cost effective to use GIIM faculty. In addition, the use of local faculty:

    • provide candidates with the ability to experience the GIIM subject matter experts, while having the local faculty's understanding of the local cultural, economic, language, and business considerations

    • would mentor, advise, and facilitate lectures, group discussions, case studies, and projects.

    • are prepared by GIIM faculty via an effective T3 (Teach-the-Teachers or Train-the-Trainers) model.

    • are hired and managed by the local affiliate and approved by GIIM.

    • while good facilitation experience is essential, the more subject matter expertise that they have, the better.

    • based on their background, would take the respective asynchronous course, and receive discussion questions and suggested projects to use during the blended sessions.

GIIM works with its affiliates to derive effective, efficient course delivery & pricing models.
